Exercise – Squats

Starting position with both legs, arms extended.

Transitional position: Bend the knees to lower into a squat as low as possible.

Final position: Same as the starting position.

After mastering short-distance sliding on the ice, this exercise will improve balance. After sliding on both legs, extend arms to the sides and slowly lean forward into a squat position, shifting the body’s center of gravity slightly forward. Straighten the body without stopping and slide a bit forward, then repeat the squat.
