The backward inside edge is the most difficult edge to learn, because the body position is such that it leans toward the inside of the arc, while the side pushing the ice (the free side) also leans toward the inside of the arc.
Also, as with the backward outside edge, the body also rotates. Many beginners find the execution of this bow confusing, because while the reflection on the ice at the beginning is the same as the backward outside edge, the body rotation is the opposite – the body rotation is towards the center of the arch.
