Airplanes involve moving on both legs along the outer arc with a lateral bending of the body. To better master the leg bending during gliding, it’s desirable for the skater to touch the ice with their hand while performing the exercises.
Starting position: Support on both legs, a wide stance, arms extended.
Transitional position: Slightly bent leg in the direction in which the skater moves, body leaning towards the center of the circle.
Final position: Same as the starting position.
